COMMENT: There’s not much that rates higher than actually spending a Sunday together! Living on opposite sides of the nation makes it tough to plan regular face-to-face catchups but we try to make it happen as much as possible. Being cousins and growing up so close together in age means that we are actually very similar which makes life that much easier when running a company together. It’s the strangest feeling when we’re standing in front of one another as we spend the majority of our everyday life using technology to connect! Nikki made this quick visit back to Perth to share her new baby Hazel with the rest of our family, so what better brand to shoot than local favourite Hello Parry. We share a similar style which makes selecting outfits entertaining as we’re often gravitating to a shared vision (aka the exact same thing!). Thankfully Hello Parry had a variety of recent arrivals full of slip dresses and minimalist pieces for us to choose from… and that were absolutely perfect for this Sunday situation.

STYLE: Dress; Viktoria & Woods – Waverley Wrap Dress. Shoes; Converse.

COMMENT: I may not know a lot about Tennis, but I know a good invitation when I see one and when Emirates offer to host you at The Australian Open, you know you’re onto a good thing! Starting the day with a breakfast amongst a bevy of beauties, my first outing since having a baby was off to a good start. I can’t even tell you who I watched play on the day, but I can tell you it was from a great seat.

WEST: The Return of the Bump

Perth and Melbourne fashion blog.

LOCATION: Perth.

STYLE: Nude cami; L’Agence. Black shorts; Pfeiffer. Rose gold hoops; Ford & Harris. Khaki cami; Ginia. Black & white skirt; Romance Was Born. Black slip dress; Ginia. Stirling silver cross earrings; Ford & Harris. All items currently available from Sana Boutique.

COMMENT: This isn’t my first rodeo being pregnant. I spent much of last time trying to find wardrobe staples that fit the ever-expanding bump, that were practical yet still me. Both pregnancy and motherhood have yet to change my style or my will to wear what I genuinely love. Perhaps there are incredibly cool maternity brands out there, but I’m yet to find one to invest in. Instead, I base my wardrobe choices on what I find in my favourite stores and by my favourite brands. This time around I know that I can wear any skirt or short that fits below the bump (as thankfully the bump grows but the rest of me stays relatively normal- well, that’s what I like to tell myself!). Obviously all tops need to have enough space for the expanding bump but finding one that has a bit of extra length is the most important factor to ensure my stomach is covered. These cami’s from Sana all fit the bill as they have enough length to cover yet are still effortlessly cool. Statement accessories have become my recent pregnancy craving as they can be worn beyond my expected due date. Actually, my whole pregnancy style motto is to find items that I’m still going to love beyond this brief moment in time and that are a worthy addition to my wardrobe. As a typical type A control freak, there may be a lot of changes taking place within me and around me but my style is still my own. Phew!

LOCATION: Perth.

STYLE: Classic Denim Jacket; Superdry. Essential Frippy Mini Cami Dress; Superdry. Boots; Chanel.

COMMENT: Up until now, Superdry has been the place that you visit when you’re travelling abroad and need a fix of streetwear. Gone are the days of jumping of a jet to London to grab their ‘future classic’ pieces if you’re based here in Perth, also known as the most isolated city in the world! Superdry have recently opened an incredible flagship location in the heart of Perth City. Launched in 2003, Superdry has brought a slice of London down-under, fusing clothing inspired by vintage Americana with high-impact Japanese graphic imagery. Opening night saw the new Perth store (which happens to be the largest Superdry in the nation) heaving with a huge urban crowd who saw the products in the flesh whilst sipping signature cocktails. My personal favourite Superdry component is their impressively crafted active wear- ‘SuperdrySport’- and it’s no exaggeration that my new running shorts are literally my current obsession (I’ve worn them more than any other wardrobe staple over the past month). Personalisation is an absolute luxury that we’re all coveting and Perth is the exclusive store to offer this service outside of the United Kingdom. I expected to see the Superdry logo splattered across all items but was pleasantly surprised to discover the majority of the pieces are understated separates designed to last. Their leather and denim jackets are definite must haves while the plain men’s t-shirts could easily fill my husband’s wardrobe. Nail on the head Superdry… Welcome to Perth!

The Perth Premier Superdry store is now open and located at 636 Hay Street Mall, taking up 450sqm of residence on the ground floor of the iconic Savoy Hotel heritage building.
