COMMENT: We are big believers in the finer details and have always appreciated the way beautiful lingerie can change-up your outfit in the best kind of way. Lingerie dressing is beyond a trend and is huge globally for good reason. Our go-to is the iconic French brand known for creative boldness and savoir faire, Simone Pérèle. After recently being awarded the 2017 ‘Designer of the Year’ by the Salon International de la lingerie, Paris, we hit up David Jones to experience their latest collection and fell in love with their Amour Range, featuring an exclusive colour-way for AW17; Blush, Deep Charcoal and Natural. In true East/West style, we opted for opposite colours and had fun selecting outfits to compliment. Over time we have built a solid foundation of Simone Pérèle staples to work into our wardrobes, from silk slips to lace bodysuits and now separates from this new-season line. Perfectly designed lingerie is surely the greatest luxury of all.
For your chance to WIN a set of the Amour Range (in either Blush or Deep Charcoal) head over to the Simone Pérèle blog to enter.

LOCATION: L1 Studio, Melbourne.
STYLE: Dress; Mossman ‘Kissed by a Rose’ Dress. Bag; Saint Laurent from The Luxe Collection by L.
COMMENT: Walking into L1 Studios yesterday was like walking into the ultimate Pintrest board come to life. The warehouse-like space had been decked out to be literally picture perfect. Pandora had set up a beautiful cloud of balloons above low set table dining, where attendees casually chatted on coloured sheepskins. Alexia Petsinis hosted a creative masterclass and we were all tasked with a small jewellery dish to decorate as we pleased; perfectly on brand for both Pandora and Petsinis. The event was to launch their Mother’s Day collection on Thursday which you will be able to shop online here.

COMMENT: As long time lovers of Disney, we’ve both visited Disney Parks around the world on numerous occasions because we just can’t get enough. It’s safe to say we were pretty quick to get into theatres for the release of Beauty and the Beast, but when we found out that one of our all time fave movies had been immortalised in the form of jewellery for us to wear on an every day basis, there was no chance we weren’t getting in on the action. PANDORA and Disney have worked together to create a collection that is both fun and fashionable. With Belle’s beautiful yellow dress, the much-loved Mrs Potts and Chip as well as the iconic rose, the Pandora charms are the perfect way to incorporate some Disney into our daily outfits.
We were asked to select charms for one another that reflect our personalities and thoughts of one another…
Nikki; Mrs Potts with Chip is the perfect charm for Michelle, she’s such a wonderful mother to her one-year old and has a baby boy on the way. The red rose represents time- a commodity which we both crave more of, as our geographical distance apart means that time together is so limited and rare.
Michelle; I know Nikki has very fond memories of watching Saturday Disney every weekend, so when PANDORA released a beautiful new range of charms inspired by Beauty and the Beast, I knew she’d be right into it! She’ll argue it’s not true, but I chose Nikki the ‘Belle’ charm because I think it represents her bold yet compassionate personality.

STYLE: Jacket: Tara Bailey (as seen in our VAMFF Day Six post). Shirt; Eclect ‘Pull Sleeve Top’. Jeans; Rollas ‘Dusters Jean – Kylie Blue’. Bag; Saint Laurent from The Luxe Collection by L.
COMMENT: When you find a jacket like this, you don’t tend to forget it too quickly so when I scored an invite to the Kookai AW17 Showcase, I was ready and waiting with this bad boy. I first came across this jacket at the VAMFF National Graduate Showcase (see previous post) and had been dreaming of it ever since. It seemed like everyone at the event appreciated it just as much as I did, but then again, its hard not to comment on a metallic, beaded red jacket. I wrote up my thoughts of the Kookai runway for Chapel Street Precinct. To check it out, click here.

Nikki; Ksubi Jacket; General Pants Karrinyup. Ksubi Skirt; General Pants Karrinyup. Lee Top; General Pants Karrinyup. Neon Hart Belt; Gerneral Pants Karrinyup. Boots; Hobbs Karrinyup. Bag; Gucci from Luxe Collection. Earrings; Lovisa Karrinyup.
COMMENT: It’s no secret that the Graduate Showcase is one of the best to be present for. Filled with thrills, plenty of frills and a few lobster print designs, you know you are going to see some serious quirk on this runway, but that’s what makes it so fun. The show opened with outfits by Zhuxuan that could only be described as ‘pom pom-esque’ and they were truly captivating. Victoria Bliss was another show-stopper (not literally of course), with her tartan bustiers and seriously good styling. Tara Miranne Bailey stood out as one to watch. Her designs were as well executed as they were wearable and after watch them walk past me on the runway, I’ll soon be watching them enter my shopping cart.
